Spiritus joins Prometheus Hyperscale and Casper Carbon Capture to deliver firm, carbon-negative electricity for a planned 1.5 GW AI-ready development, leveraging integrated carbon capture and permanent CO₂ sequestration.
Spiritus has joined Prometheus Hyperscale and Casper Carbon Capture in a strategic partnership to build a groundbreaking, carbon-negative digital infrastructure campus in Wyoming. The project — launching with a minimum USD 500 million investment — is designed to deliver up to 1.5 GW of IT-ready capacity over multiple phases, making it one of the largest AI-focused developments in the Rocky Mountain region. First firm power is expected to be available by 2026.
Under the plan, Spiritus will deploy its Orchard Power platform to deliver dependable, firm electricity — generated by high-efficiency natural gas and paired with integrated carbon capture (both point-source and direct air capture) — to power-intensive AI customers. The captured CO₂ will be permanently stored in permitted sequestration wells managed by Casper Carbon Capture, making operations carbon-negative by design.
By combining high-density data infrastructure, firm clean energy, and permanent carbon sequestration, this partnership reflects Spiritus’s core mission: to provide fast, affordable, carbon-negative electricity at scale for AI and other power-intensive workloads — enabling sustainable growth for customers while accelerating the energy transition.
